I created this blog in May 2018, and have made it a goal to post at least once a month. I always have a few projects in the works at once, but in the past I struggled to figure out what the output of a finalized project should be. I created this blog so that 1) I’d have a single place to collect my thoughts on a range of topics, 2) it would compel me to think more rigorously about a subject so that I could stand to teach it to an audience and 3) it would force me to at the very least create a blog post as a way to tie up a project I’m working on.
I am a data scientist by trade. This blog is created and maintained using the R language, so many of my posts feature data in one form or another. The individual posts are actually RMarkdown or regular markdown pages. Let me know if you are interested in creating your own site, and I can walk you through how I created and maintain mine.
